Hi Everyone,

Setting the record straight: there is NO SUCH THING as a 'lie of omission'.

What say you?

"What is a Lie Of Omission?"

Hi FredandMary,

Proponents of it believe, that if you have the opportunity and
do not disclose all the information they seek, you somehow lied.

If it is information they seek to use against you, WHY TELL THEM? ...that is NOT A LIE - no matter what they say.

Hi Everyone,

While there is no such thing as: 'A Lie Of Omission'
...there is a thing as "deception through concealment"

I think there is some lie of omission. If someone is asking you a question and you act like your answering it and yet try to deceive..that is a lie of omission.

Think about Annias and Saphira

Hi Amanda,

Here's the problem: Holding back of your commitment - they LOST THEIR LIVES TOGETHER because of it

"And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much." (Acts 5:8)

"But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost,
and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own?
and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart?
thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God." (Acts 5:3-4)
